Wales Set For A Positive Future

The Wales Minifootball team are set for a Positive future – literally – after a sponsorship deal was announced.

The Llanelli-based computer firm Positive IT will be sponsoring all the team’s bags ahead of the European 6 a side Championships. The team have been using their branded gear at the recent Home Nations Tournament and at yesterday’s training session the players were photographed with the new gear.

The UKMA’s spokesman Alex Young thanked the firm for their support, and added: “It is great to have the backing of Welsh companies such as this.”

The news comes at the start of a busy week for the team. Tonight they meet Deputy Minister For Culture and Sport, Ken Skates, to honour their Home Nations win and on Wednesday at 2pm the final squad will be announced for miniEURO2015 in Croatia.

Positive IT is headed by Carmarthenshire entrepreneur Jason Edwards. Jason started his working life as computer programmer in the 1980s. His career developed into IT and telecoms with roles including Corporate Business Manager at Kodak and also a senior management role at WorldCom.

He set up Positive IT in 1999 when he saw a gap in the market for a Wales–based IT support and telecoms business. The company has grown steadily since and now employs a team of engineers and support staff from its offices in Llanelli.
