The UK Socca Association is delighted to announce that we have made three more appointments to the England Coaching Staff.

The trio – Paul Darke, Mark Staines and Gary Thomas – were identified as the men to lead England forward into the next miniEURO Championships and will all be at the England squad trials at Stevenage FC Academy next week as they settle into their new roles.

The three were given the roles after the interviews last month in Birmingham.

Paul brings with him decades of experience in the professional game and has most recently been Player/Coach of Southern League Bashley FC. Crucially he has more than a decade of experience in the small sided game and it is felt that he was in a perfect position to take the team forward.

Mark Staines has been one the Premier 6 a side football coaches in in the UK for nearly 20 years, working in the North West but winning tournaments around the world. He will be assisted by Gary Thomas, who is a UEFA qualified coach and works with youngsters in the community.

They join the previously announced appointment of Chief Scout, Jamie Leggett, as the new top men in the England set up.

England have competed at the last two miniEURO events, last year reaching the last eight before losing to champions Romania. The journey towards the next championship begins next Sunday at Stevenage when 100 players will arrive for trials.
